Jon Parise is a Senior Engineer at Booyah, where he is dedicated to creating new forms of entertainment by bringing together elements of the real and digital worlds.
Previously, he was the Director of Engineering at Brightkite, the location-based social network. Before that, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Electronic Arts, where he worked on a number of game titles including The Sims 3, The Sims Online, Ultima Online, and The Lord of the Rings: The White Council.
He has been active in a number of open source projects, including PHP, PEAR, and The Horde Project. He also thinks Python is the bee's knees.

Jon earned a bachelors degree in Information Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a masters degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.
